6 Months Old

Caitlynn is now 6 months old and has grown so much! She had her check-up and the doctor is happy with her development and said she is "perfect". Our thoughts exactly! She weighs 16 lbs 5 ozs and is 26 inches long. She also went to Kennedy Krieger, a development center associated with Johns Hopkins Hospital, as a follow-up visit due to her being in the NICU after birth. They said she is right on track for her growth and on par for most of her development. They would like to see her again in 3-4 months to check on her development to be sure she is hitting her milestones.


She continues to have the same sleeping and eating patterns but has now eaten green beans, peas, and yellow squash,... all of which were made by Laura. She loves playing with her toys but mostly will grab whatever she can get her hands on and puts it right into her mouth! She is definitely teething and even has a tooth starting to come through.... which has led to some long nights for us. She is very vocal and says a lot of "Mmm", "Bbbb", and "Dddd" sounds. She laughs all the time at Rocco and is constantly trying to pet him. Once she can crawl, I think he's in trouble! She can sit up on her own for long periods of time but still will fall to one side or the other as she isn't quite sure how to catch herself yet. She continues to be a happy, content baby and we think she has Ry's personality,.. we're thankful for those blessings! We continue to enjoy watching her grow and discover new things each and every day!
