Caitlynn has been able to sing all the letters in the alphabet for quite some time now but this is the first time I was able to capture her singing on video!

4 months old!

Luke is now 4 months old and we have no idea where the time has gone! He just went in for his doctor's appointment and is 16 lbs 12 ozs and 26 inches long. He got 2 shots and only cried for about 30 seconds. He really was a champ! The doctor was happy with his development and size. She said he must be eating well! She said we can start feeding him baby cereal on a more regular basis and start introducing baby food. Laura made all of Caitlynn's baby food so she is going to do the same for Luke. Hopefully, he will not have any food allergies and will like everything she makes . Based on his current size, we think he will have quite an appetite for everything she makes!

Luke currently goes to bed around 8:00 and sleeps about 12 hours. He still wakes up 2-4 times at night to have his diaper changed or eat. He takes a nap from 10-12ish and will cat nap in the afternoons. He eats five 5.5 oz bottles and nurses 2-3 times throughout the night. we figured out that he will go longer stretches between feedings if he gets a bottle so Laura is pumping during the day. We will probably be switching over to formula within the next month as she does not produce enough for the hungry guy!

This month, Luke found his feet and loves to play with them. He also laughs out loud, mostly when he is playing with Ryan. He tried rice cereal, but didn't keep it all down. We will feeding him more often over the next month as well as introducing other baby foods that Laura will be making. Luke got to meet Uncle Mike and his cousins Madison and Simone for the first time. He also had his first family vacation to Rehoboth Beach, DE.

Rehoboth Beach, DE
We just returned from another great week at the beach with the Harbold crew. The weather was sunny and there was lots of activity with two kids this year. Luke got to meet Uncle Mike, Madison and Simone for the first time. The girls loved holding and feeding him. It was great practice for them as they are going to be big sisters come September! We went to the beach almost everyday. Caitlynn loved the sand but was still scared of the water. She did get her feet wet by the end of the week. She went on rides this year and seemed to enjoy them better this year. Luke even went on a ride with Ryan and smiled the whole time! We had fun enjoying quality time with the family!

Rice Cereal
Luke is almost 4 months old some we decided to try and give him some rice cereal. He wasn't sure what to do with a spoon at first but did get the hang of it towards the end. It was quite messy but fun to know he is reaching another milestone! Ryan was even able to catch some of it on video. Here he is:

Pushing Luke
Caitlynn loves pushing her dolls around in her pink stroller. Since Luke is about the same size (or bigger) then some of her dolls, we decided to let her take him for a spin (Just ignore the fact that she isn't wearing clothes! She's getting in touch with her European side.). Here she goes:

Back to Work

Laura's maternity leave has run out so today she returned to work. She was excited to get back into the classroom to finish up the year with her students. School ends next Tuesday so she only has to work for two weeks until she has off for the summer. Aunt Kathy Swartz and Nonna were willing to take time off to come watch Luke for us so Ryan didn't have to take any extra time. We are very fortunate to have all the extra help!

Caitlynn and the Kitty

We went to our friends Kathy and Kevin Swartz's house for dinner. They were the ones who watched Nina for us when we first had Caitlynn and eventually took her in. She is now very happy there and has become a loved member of their family with Duke. Caitlynn loves kitties and had a great time chasing Duke and Nina around the backyard. Nina was slightly more vocal about her displeasure with being chased, but neither one was loving Caitlynn that night. Dinner was great and they even had an Easter egg hunt just for Caitlynn, which she loved! We are so lucky to have such great friends who are a sudo aunt and uncle for our kids!
